Chiropractors are trained to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate numerous neuromusculoskeletal disorders. Some areas that they commonly treat for are neck pain and lower back pain. What you might not know is that chiropractors are also trained to treat and rehabilitate conditions such as rotator cuff tears and hamstring strains.
The primary aim of our chiropractic consultations is to get the results you desire. Whether that is to be pain free, move better or to successfully be rehabilitated from an injury, we have your best interest at heart. We achieve this through a variety of methods such as mobilisations, soft tissue techniques (massage), dry needling, strength & conditioning, trigger point therapy, manipulation, cryotherapy, rehabilitation, prehabilitation, strapping and neuromusculoskeletal activation.
Where chiropractic care is not suitable for the patient, our practitioners will refer you to the appropriate health care professional. They may also refer you to another health care professional if they believe co-management is needed. This is to ensure the best possible care is offered to you, so the road to recovery is quick and smooth.
Before treatment commences the chiropractor may explain clearly:
What they found during the assessment
A rough treatment plan
Risks and benefits
An informed consent for treatment
Whether you require further imaging/investigation for a referral
We believe in working closely with your GP, so they too are involved in your care. During the first consultation, your practitioner may send a report to your GP, with your permission. This is so they have a record with details of your condition and the treatment you are receiving.
